Weekend 10k Action

Several B.R.A.T. athletes were in action over the weekend at the Wilne 10k and the Stretford 10000m festival.

Wilne is known for its fast course and strong field and this year was no exception. Jack Gray was 7th in a season's best of 31:10; Tim Carter also managed a season's best of 34:09. Many others ran PBs, including Karl Welborn (33:49), Mark Lawlor (35:54), Thanos Tsolakis (36:28) and Jonathan Winlker (37:00).

The BMC's last race of the track season, the 10000m festival, took place in Manchester on Saturday. Dan Robinson, in a pleasing return to form, was just outside his PB finishing 13th in the B race. Ed Banks was in the A race and norrowly avoided finishing last, setting a PB in the process.

It's great to see so many of our athletes coming into form with the Midlands Road Relays less than two weeks away!
