Colclough breaks BRAT Club Record at World Masters Championships

Having helped the senior league team avoid relegation at Worcester on Sunday, James Colclough dashed off to the World Masters Athletics Championships in Lyon, France to compete in the M35 age category 400m.

James made a great start in the heats coming second in a club record time of 51.77s and qualifying for the semi finals as 15th fastest overall in the 8 heats. This was his fastest time for 4 years. In the semi final, he tried to chase the faster athletes in the early part of the race, but faded slightly towards the end and finished a gallant 6th in another fine time of 51.95s, which was also faster than the previous club record.
